Betsy Yaeko Miyashiro, 88, of Hilo, formerly of Honolulu, died May 23, 2013, at Hospice, Hilo Medical Center. Born in Ewa, Oahu, she was a retired senior CPO clerk with Bank of Hawaii, IPC/CPO.
Private services were held on Oahu. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.
She is survived by daughters, Rae (Gregory) Zane of Pepeekeo, Arleen (Clifford) Kitagawa of Hilo; brothers, Paul (April) Arakaki of Aiea, Oahu, Richard Arakaki of Anaheim, Calif., Yusuke Arakaki of Brookline, Mass.; sisters, Shizuko Higa of Pearl City, Oahu, Helen Miyamoto of Honolulu, Alice (Tokuichi) Hayashi, of Aiea, Oahu; numerous nieces and nephews.
